THIRD KHANDHAKA (PROBATION AND PENANCE - CONTINUED)
Chapter-10 : Monk Udayi Again Commits First Sanghadisesa Offence(of Masturbation) - Restart of Penance.
1. While he was undergoing that Manatta he committed an offence--the first Sanghadisesa(Masturbation) which he did not conceal.
He told the Bhikkhus, saying, 'I committed, &c. . . . I asked the Sangha. . . . The Sangha imposed [&c., going through all that had happened, down to the end of the first paragraph in this chapter].
They told, &c.
'Let then the Sangha, O Bhikkhus, impose upon Udayi the Bhikkhu a Manatta of six days' duration, throwing him back to the commencement (of his Manatta).
